Quiet Layers
Two sheer layers designed to soften light with depth and calm.
This scheme pairs two sheer curtains to create a softer, more atmospheric approach to the window. The outer Winter Garden sheer gently filters the daylight with a clean, luminous finish, while the inner sheer, with its coarser linen-like texture, brings a quieter sense of depth and softness to the space.
Rather than closing the room off, the two layers work together to shape the light more delicately. The white sheer keeps the window bright and airy, while the textured inner layer adds warmth, tactility and a more settled rhythm to the folds. The result is a look that feels light in appearance, yet calm and composed in mood.
Especially suited to interiors that favour softness over contrast, this layered treatment creates a more tranquil atmosphere throughout the day. It is a subtle composition, but one that changes the feeling of the room entirely — diffusing the light, softening the architecture and bringing a quiet sense of stillness to the space.

Curtain Stack-Back Guide
When curtains are fully open, the fabric gathers to the sides of the window. This space is known as the stack-back.
The amount of space required depends on the heading style, fabric weight, and total track width.
As a general guide:
- Double Pinch Pleat: approx. 25–30% of total track width (split on both sides)
- Wave Curtains: approx. 20–25%, but require additional space for the wave track system
- Heavier fabrics will create a deeper stack
To ensure the curtains clear the window fully when open, we recommend extending the track 15–30cm beyond the window on each side, especially for wave curtains.
